My name is Rakeem Johnson-Williams, born in Toronto and raised in Mississauga, Ontario. From a young age, I developed a strong passion for the creative arts, with graphic design emerging as a natural career path. Since the age of ten, I have been engaged with computer-based design, and my academic success in college—earning consistently high marks—reinforced my conviction that this is the field in which I am meant to thrive.

I bring with me a range of strengths, including a refined sense of design, expertise in colour coordination, the ability to collaborate effectively within teams, strong communication skills, and the capacity to transform initial sketches and rough drafts into polished digital works.

 

My technical proficiency extends to an advanced command of industry-standard tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Animate, Substance, Firefly, Encoder, XD, as well as Figma, MidJourney, and OpenAI (ChatGPT).

What drives me most in this field is the opportunity to bring clients’ visions to life. When entrusted with a project, I take pride in translating a client’s unique ideas into compelling visual narratives. Witnessing their satisfaction upon seeing their vision realized serves not only as a reminder of my purpose but also as a source of fulfillment and motivation to continually evolve as a designer.
